The Evija is what Lotus perceives to be the next generation of automotive performance – an all-electric hypercar that’s sculpted to create organic beauty to match its high-speed credentials. The numbers are simply staggering: the 1500kw of power equates to more than 2000bhp, with 1704Nm of torque available.
This means that the Evija can sprint from 0-186mph in 9.1 seconds, although it can also cover 215 miles of range. It can accelerate past 60mph in less than three seconds, thanks to its 93kWh battery pack developed in partnership with Williams Advanced Engineering. It features Integral Powertrain-supplied motors at each wheel, all operated independently.
The magnesium wheels wear Pirelli Trofeo R tyres for extra lightness, while AP Racing carbon-ceramic disc brakes provide eye-popping stopping power. A mere 130 Evijas will be built, each one tailored to the customer’s taste with a range of liveries available that pay homage to Lotus’s proud history in motor sport.
