1965 Porsche 356C

Owner: David Gandy Hosted by: Bennett Winch

Renowned model David Gandy is well known for loving his classic machinery, and he has recently added this subtly modified Porsche 356C to his collection.

He worked closely with Chelmsford, Essex-based specialist LuxClassics from the first concepts to finding a suitable donor vehicle, and then through the full process of the bespoke restoration. The project took styling advice from car designer Ian Callum on the clever aesthetic tweaks.

One of the most significant changes made is the fitment of custom-crafted bumpers, which are shorter and hug the bodywork more closely than the less attractive originals on these late-model 356s. The painted wheels are wider and fitted with knock-off hubs, too.

Look closer and you’ll see further neat touches including leather bonnet straps and a bespoke interior retrim. Finally, the lowered suspension gives the Porsche a perfect stance.

David says: “Lux Classics has done an incredible job of bringing my vision to life.”
