Chopard

Founded by Louis-Ulysse Chopard in 1860, Chopard became renowned for innovative design and timing precision. The Scheufele family took over in the 1960’s, and Chopard remains one of the last family-run watchmaking and jewellery companies in Switzerland. Karl-Friedrich Scheufele is Co-President of Chopard and responsible for their watch division. A passionate classic car collector, Karl-Friedrich forged one of the most enduring and successful partnerships in motor sport with their sponsorship of the Mille Miglia. The Mille Miglia began in 1927 as an open-road endurance race starting in Brescia, Italy and traveling to Rome and back, going through places like Ferrara, Cervia, San Marino, Sienna, and Parma – covering 1,000 miles. Today the Mille Miglia is a retrospective of the original race that ran for 24 editions up until 1957. Each year Chopard creates a much anticipated limited edition watch to celebrate the Mille Miglia. The 41st edition of this famous race will take place in June 2023.

Savile Row tailors

The tailors

There have been tailors on Savile Row since 1803, and they’ve clothed kings, princes, heads of state and celebrities ever since.

It was on Savile Row that Henry Poole invented the dinner jacket, or tuxedo, for the future Edward VII in 1860. Much more recently, the Row has featured in the Kingsman movies.

Now tradition meets cutting-edge design, and at Concours on Savile Row you’ll be able to see historic patterns, current designs and fascinating cutting rooms.
